Readington Trail Association is an equestrian organization based in Readington Township, Hunterdon County, NJ. Our purpose is to:
Promote the health and welfare of horses in Readington through educational programs and presentations. We have held seminars led by subject matter experts and professionals in equine massage, acupuncture, saddle fitting, fire safety, emergency response for trailer accidents and more.
Support Readington’s emergency response volunteers through annual donations to Readington’s four firehouses and Whitehouse Rescue Squad.
Educate our emergency responders in rescuing horses in barn fires through hands on training sessions for Readington Volunteer Firemen.
Promote passive recreation, farmland preservation and the acquisition and maintenance of open space.
Maintain the rural character of the township through establishing and maintaining a multi-use trail network.
Promote road safety for motorists, horses and equestrians through the purchase and installation of 25 MPH road signs throughout the township on municipal roads and horse crossing signs on county roads.
Support local youth organizations and programs through annual donations to the Round Valley Youth Center (to support maintenance and improvements to the facility).
